Pathwave Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Pathwave service provided by TRIGGER SOFT CO., LTD. (“the Company”).

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users regarding the use of the Pathwave automatic store service based on store Wi-Fi access point (AP) signals (the “Service”).

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. “Service” means the Pathwave mobile app, website, and related services operated by the Company.
  2. “User” means a member or guest who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
  3. “Store (Merchant)” means a business that uses the Service for store operations under a separate agreement with the Company.
  4. “Store Signal” means the identifiers (SSID/BSSID) broadcast by a Wi-Fi access point (AP) installed at a store, which the Company uses together with the location information of the user’s device to recognize the store. Separate signal devices such as beacons may be introduced only after obtaining the permits required by applicable law and following separate notice.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment)

  1. These Terms take effect when posted within the Service.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law, announcing the effective date and reasons at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes unfavorable to users).

Article 4 (Provision and Change of Service)

  1. The Company provides: store-signal-based store guidance and one-tap store WiFi connection, stamps and coupon issuance/use, 1:1 chat with stores including automatic translation, and notices/notifications.
  2. The Company may change or suspend all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, with prior notice for material changes.

Article 5 (Membership and Accounts)

  1. Users apply for membership per the Company’s procedures. Only users aged 14 and older may sign up; date of birth is verified at sign-up and users under 14 are restricted.
  2. Users must keep account information accurate and are responsible for damages arising from negligent account management.

Article 6 (User Obligations)

  1. Users must not: misuse others’ information, fraudulently use the Service or use it in unauthorized ways for commercial or non-commercial purposes, access systems abnormally (including manipulating location information), distribute obtained location information, store WiFi credentials, coupons or stamps without authorization, or interfere with operations.
  2. If a user violates these obligations, the Company may restrict use or suspend/terminate membership.

Article 7 (User-Generated Content and Chat)

  1. Users are responsible for content they post, including chat.
  2. The Company provides report/block features for inappropriate content (abuse, hate, illegal, spam) and may review reported content and take action such as hiding or deletion.
  3. Users may block others; blocking restricts chat between the parties.

Article 8 (Payment and Refund)

  1. Store (merchant) subscription fees are charged per the Company’s pricing; payment and refunds follow the separate Refund Policy.
  2. Payments a user makes at a store (e.g., easy payment) are consideration for physical goods/services and follow the policies of that store and the payment provider.
  3. Rights of withdrawal and refund under applicable law (e.g., the E-Commerce Act) are guaranteed.

Article 9 (Location-Based Service)

The Service uses store Wi-Fi access point (AP) signals and location information for automatic store connection. Processing of location information follows the Privacy Policy and applicable law; users may revoke location permission in device settings.

Article 10 (Termination and Withdrawal)

Users may terminate (withdraw) at any time via Settings > Account in the app. The withdrawal process follows the Account Deletion guide.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Company is not liable for service interruptions due to force majeure such as natural disasters or network failures.
  2. The Company is not liable for damages due to the user’s fault or for transactions/disputes between users (or between a user and a store).

Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea; jurisdiction over disputes follows the Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

These Terms are effective as of September 19, 2026.
