Delete your Pathwave Account

This page exists so you can delete your account and request data handling without installing or signing in to the app, as required by Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play policies.

1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)

Open the Pathwave app and tap Settings.
Tap Account → Delete account.
Re-enter your current password and confirm.
You'll be signed out immediately and your account will be deactivated.

For social sign-ins (Kakao / Google / Apple) the password step is skipped.

2. Request by email (if you can't access the app)

Send an email below with your registered email, full name, and reason. We process and reply within 3 business days.

Sending from the address used to register will speed up verification.

3. Data that will be deleted

Email, name, phone, profile picture
Location and store recognition history
Push notification tokens (immediate notification cutoff)
Your activity data: stamps, coupons, favourites, etc.
1:1 chat messages with stores — your messages anonymized after 30 days; the store-side copy is retained for audit.

4. Data we must retain (legal obligation)

Payment / refund records: 5 years (Korean e-commerce act)
Login history: 3 months (Communications Privacy Act)
Abuse / report handling: 6 months (ICT Network Act)

5. Process (summary)

Request received → users.deleted_at is set immediately (soft delete).
Email is anonymized so you can re-register with the same address.
Push tokens are removed — notifications stop right away.
30-day grace period — sign-in restores the account.
After 30 days → permanent erasure except legally retained data.
